Who are we?

Mike retired from the Air Force Academy and Deb spent some time as a traveling registered nurse before retiring. Mike would work part time temporary jobs at cycle and ski shops and even worked at the mall in Anchorage, Alaska as a maintenance man. The travel bug was pretty engrained after 14 years of moving off and on every 3-6 months.

Once we settled down for a while, we found ourselves dreading going home and the same routine.  In 2015 we finally sold our house since most years we only visit for a few months before heading out again. Without a mortgage, insurance and water bills, we are both now retired and playing it by ear.

We found we longed for adventure and experiences more than hanging onto our "stuff". and are always looking for a new place to ride our bikes or take a hike. We have met more interesting people and made more friends than in our previous life.

Sure, we miss our families. But we make sure to circle back to see them as a part of our plans.

It takes teamwork to live this type of life and bumps in the road, but it seems to be working out well so far.
